„Clarins was founded out of love and respect for female beauty," said its founder Jacques Courtin. His desire to beautify women had already led him to the idea of a courageous, visionary enterprise back in 1954. He opens his first beauty institute, which specializes in massages and special methods of applying his own products based on natural extracts. Courtin was convinced that the power of plants was the answer to all cosmetic questions. For his baths, creams and lotions, he chose the name Clarins, which he later added to his surname. Jacques Courtin - Clarins founded the first cosmetics school in Paris, where he taught the famous "Méthode Clarins", laying the foundations of the cosmetic practices that are still in use today.
