The human body is a wonderful mechanism. The sooner you take care of yours, the longer and the smoother it will run... That's simply a fact. Therefore, detoxification should become part of your personal regime. Just as we shower regularly, wash our hair, brush our teeth and cut our nails, we should learn to, ideally twice a year (in spring and autumn) cleanse your body of everything that can damage it.
To some extent, detox is naturally occurring in your body, all the time. That being said the worse the lifestyle you’re leading, the harder your body is having to work. Do you suffer from heartburn? Do you have digestive troubles? Do you feel tired after the weekend and don’t enjoy anything? Maybe that’s your body telling you it needs a reset ...
Regular detoxification of the body has been a part of traditional Chinese medicine, for several thousand years but it has gained popularity more recent times as our needs for them have increased... Pollutants in air, water and soil, stress, lack of sleep, unhealthy eating, sedentary lifestyle. All of these factors can cause a buildup of toxins which can weaken the body from within.
WHAT IS DETOXIFICATION?
Detoxification means "removal of toxins". In our context, in particular: the removal of toxic substances that have accumulated in our body for a certain period. This is most naturally achieved by at least temporarily adjusting the diet, which requires in particular: increased intake of health benefits and total elimination of harmful substances which can dangerously tip the bodies delicate PH balance. At the same time, some detoxifying foods must be included in it, which effectively removes everything that our body "spends" from within.
- WHAT TO EAT AND DRINK: all fresh fruits and vegetables (lemons, oranges, berries, apples, red peppers, tomatoes, spinach, pumpkin, carrots, cabbage, beetroot, cucumbers, broccoli
+ NATURAL DETOXIFYING MARVELS: nettle, dandelion, mint, marigold, thyme, broadleaf plantain, liquorice, chamomile, lavender, lemon balm, sea buckthorn, green barley
- WHAT TO AVOID: meat, sugars (in food or in beverages), saturated fat, salt (reduce your intake but don’t remove it from your diet), baked goods (mainly white flour), eggs, dairy products, coffee, black tea, alcohol + avoid cigarettes
Be aware: This is not a weight loss diet! Yes, even with detoxification, you might naturally lose a few pounds because you will significantly reduce your caloric intake, but that's just a bonus. Its purpose is not to polish the bodywork but to service the engine.
HOW LONG SHOULD IT LAST?
The optimal length of detoxification is not fixed. Every doctor, homeopath or nutritionist has their own suggestion. The internet is flooded with suggestions, 1 day, 3 days, a week a fortnight. We would definitely not recommend detox for the day. You would simply shock your body, nothing more. We believe that a week cleanse is ideal and absolutely sufficient.

We are not just our bodies. We are complex, multifaceted beings who need to look after our minds as well as our bodies. To better face each day, for a better outlook, and for how we interact with those around us, we need to deal with the material world around us.
Half-broken furniture, malfunctioning electronics, unused kitchen equipment, clothing or cosmetics ... Away with it! Your home should not be a warehouse, but an oasis of peace. Let your body and mind breathe.
